About Us

My name is Jason Robinson. I am a lifelong resident of Baldwin County. All of my 25+ working years have been spent in the electrical trade, working alongside some of the best electricians and contractors in Baldwin County. My career started when I was given a tool belt full of electrician’s tools for Christmas by my Aunt Mary and Junius Long. Long Industrial Services was one of the top electrical contractors at that time. Most that know Junius would agree, he is the best electrician Gulf Shores AL has around.

My apprentice years were spent studying my trade, and also studying the electrician Gulf Shores AL contractors I worked for. During this time, I learned how and why I should start my own business.
J Robinson Electric LLC began in 2016 as a part-time job. After a few years of working 2 jobs, my business became too busy to maintain that schedule.

In early 2022, I left my job as a maintenance electrician with The State of Alabama working at Wallace and Bankhead Tunnels, to focus on my business full time. I knew when I started this business, I wanted to take what I had learned from the companies I had worked with over the years, and improve the customer’s experience. Building or remodeling a home can be a traumatic experience. Most of our residential customers are building or remodeling for the first time. I think a lot of electricians make the mistake of thinking the customer knows exactly what they want. Some have a good idea, but may have trouble putting it into words. That’s where we can help as your trusted electrician Gulf Shores AL! We can walk the customer through their newly framed house so they can visualize switch placement and outlet locations. Sometimes it’s best to literally point out your wishes while someone takes notes.

The modern home has changed in many ways, in recent years. Most people have no idea what can be done to their home, to make it more user friendly, or even SMART. The possibilities are endless! If you can dream it, we can make it happen. We also wire commercial buildings. Office buildings, restaurants, doctor offices, retail stores, marinas, or other buildings may have special National Electrical Code requirements that need special attention. We can help with that.

Our electrician Gulf Shores AL team is also experienced in Industrial electrical work and Fiber Optic installations. The electrical industry is ever changing and requires a vast knowledge of tools, safety practices, and installation procedures.

Residential electrical installations are typically wired with NM(non-metallic) cable, which is commonly referred to as Romex, and plastic or fiberglass outlet boxes. This is a safe and effective installation that has proven reliable. Commercial buildings are usually wired with EMT (Electrical Metallic Tubing) and MC Cable (Metal-Clad). EMT and MC cable offer more protection than Romex, and are preferred on commercial installations, and are designed to withstand more abuse.
